How to Keep the Kids Entertained While Stuck in Traffic

If you have small children and are stuck in traffic a lot to get to school, extra-curricular activities and other events, it’s important to have an arsenal of tools to keep them entertained (and quiet) so you can focus on the road ahead. If you take a lot of trips, it’s absolutely imperative to have ways to keep your little ones entertained so you can enjoy your drive, and in winter, when days are shorter, traffic can be heavier and roads can be more dangerous, having a quiet cabin is very important.

If you live in areas of New England like Berlin, Gorham, Jefferson, Milan, Bethel, Stoneham, or Newry, here are some tips from Berlin City Toyota of New Hampshire to keep the kids entertained while driving.

Activity books such as coloring books or puzzle books will keep some children entertained and enthralled for hours on end.
Travel games that don’t take up a lot of room will have your kids interacting in fun, fairly quiet way for hours.
Audio books are an amazing way to keep the kids quiet for hours and they can be educational, also.
Since most vehicles keep you connected, bring along a tablet for your children to play video games, read or watch movies.
Bring along some DVD’s for your children’s viewing pleasure.
Have your children document your family vacation with pictures; they can use a camera on a phone or bring along an inexpensive digital camera to keep them interested and aware of the world around them as you travel.
If you live in Berlin, Gorham, Jefferson, Milan, Bethel, Stoneham, Newry or a surrounding area, you may be stuck in traffic this winter. Be prepared by having some ideas ready to keep the kids entertained and quiet while stuck or while traveling long distances around the holidays.
